In the early 1900's the introduction of the automobile completely changed society. Future generations will loo to the early 2000's the exactly the same way. YouTube has already completely changed the way in which people from around the world learn, entertain themselves and spend their time.
There a was a time when sharing your videos was a physical event. You needed to put the tape into a VCR and hook up the VCR to another unit and then you would make a direct transfer. The problem the inevitably arise is that the copy would be slightly less quality than the original. Of course there is issue that that new copy still could only be seen at one location at a time.
YouTube allows for thousands of people to view your footage at any given time. If you are a private person, you can also set your viewing permissions to allow only 25 people, or people on your friends list. Having your video footage uploaded to YouTube will also not effect the quality of the original video footage.
