At Toronto Home Movies, you have a wide variety of export options for your Films, Videos, Audio and Photo. Firstly, the formats that we can convert them to are DV if you have a mac; AVI for standard definition; .MPEG for high definition and .MP4. From there, your video can be uploaded to your hard drive, a DVD data disc, a DVD .MPEG2 disc, a standard Blu-Ray MPEG disc or a Blu-Ray data disc. The Blu-Ray data disc comes in either a 25 gb single layered disc, or a 50 gb duel layered disc. We can also upload your footage onto MiniDV tapes or an external USB drive. For DVD's, you also have the option to have custom graphics on both the disc and the case. Also you can request the content of the menu screens with sub-menus and customized chapters. If there is a digital video format or output device that you would prefer to have your video in and it is not referred here, please let us know. We will be happy to accommodate your requests.

The DVD we produce for you is exactly the same as the one from the rental store. We can record archival grade DVD that fits up to two hours worth of film at a reasonable bitrate (quality). This type of DVD has been recorded to play (MPEG2 format) that plays on all mainstream DVD players, Blu-Ray players as well as PCs, Macs and gaming consoles that have the software to play DVD files. You will not be able to edit this type of video.

For those with small projects, shipping or purchasing a portable hard drive is not a convenient option. If you prefer we can put up to 20 minutes of digital video footage as DV (Both Windows and Mac OSX Compatible) onto a 4.7GB professional Pro Disk DVD. Since it will not be encoded for DVD (compressed) you will retain the highest possible quality for editing purposes.
